A mesmerizing landscape: sparkly to the eye, soft to the touch.

‘Sparkle Puddle Squish Pond’ is a fantasy landscape of reversible sequins, or “flippies.” The scene is built around a pond of plush, sparkling fabric.

The gently undulates, as waves roll and break just under the shimmering surface of the pond.

Every element in this strange world is soft to the touch, and viewers are encouraged to run their hands across the sequined surfaces. Anyone can change its colour, write a message, or create a pattern in the pond. The sculpture is strangely calming--almost therapeutic.
